About The Urban Mom

The Urban Mom is for the working mom, the stay at home mom, the knowledgeable mom, the first time mom and the mama-to-be. She looks for ways to make positive memories for her kids at home and in and around the city that her family calls home. The Urban Mom looks for weekend getaways ideas with her family, tips on travelling with her kids and time saving services and hacks. She values her relationships, self care and her health and wellness.

She is ready for anything.

The Urban Mom inspires mothers and mothers-to-be to live a balanced, experiential life.

In the past 5 years, The Urban Mom has grown to be a go-to website for first-hand stories in motherhood, family friendly ideas, how-to’s and inspiration for urban moms and their families. We are excited to grow with our community, embrace culture and better represent the diversity in the communities we live in.

About Our Editor-In-Chief

Amanda Breen sitting at the kitchen counter with her laptop

Hello! I’m Amanda Breen, I created The Urban Mom in 2016 after my daughter Mikayla was born. The Urban Mom has helped like-minded mothers with ideas on family friendly activities, quick & delicious dinners so we can spend more time at the beach, in the forest, exploring and making memories with our families.

I own theModline.com where we work with small businesses, create and execute marketing strategies that will help grow their businesses. I’m a photographer, videographer, web designer and professional content creator. With my family of 5, we travel and create content for many local businesses.

Thank you for clicking this page and wanting to learn about me and my story! I hope to learn more about you too 🙂 Let’s chat on Instagram!
