It was a cold one in Vancouver last weekend. The cold here is a little different than in northern BC or other parts of Canada because it’s a wet cold! The misty kinda cold that gets on your clothes, creeps into your sleeves and makes you shiver! It doesn’t snow much here, so our winter is considered mild but that doesn’t mean it’s warm!
Chris & I are moving from our one bedroom apartment at River District in Vancouver to a new construction townhouse in Ladner. The area is called Hampton Cove, built by the same developers as our current apartment in River District. We love River District for it’s community feel, we love the plan for the area with shops, community centres, schools and restaurants but we’re in a one bedroom! With the baby, we want a space that we can grow into with the same kind of community feel. Hampton Cove looks like it can provide us with all that! So next summer, we’ll be moving south!
Looking for something to do, we decided to head into Ladner and explore a bit. We stopped at a place called Stir Coffee House for some hot Apple Cider and warm Pumpkin Scones.
We dressed Mikayla in these cute baby booties from Cast On And Chain. A Canadian brand run by Emily, a busy, working Mom from Ontario! These booties come in a few different colours. I think I’ll order the plum ones next! 🙂 The shop is closed till the new year, so follow her on Instagram to stay up to date on her store opening!
